After a successful launch in the USA and Switzerland, South Africa will become the third country where trees will benefit from our NEPS technology.

South Africa is a major producer and exporter of fruits and nuts. NEPS will be installed in the Mpumalanga region, 420km East of Johannesburg, where more than 60% of its land is used for agriculture.

NEPS will be installed on two different trees, lychee (Litchi chinensis) and macadamia. In this case, the lychee installation will be carried out in a plantation where the grower struggles with fruit sizes that are below standard, resulting in low kg per hectare.

As for the macadamia, NEPS will be installed on newly planted trees. Besides health and yield, the grower will carefully observe the impact on the growth cycle, particularly its time to maturity. Both installations will expand the successful portfolio of NEPS installations, further solidifying its versatility to deliver results for any type of tree, independently of soil condition or elevation.
