In February of 2018, we installed NEPS on 15 trees in the median of a parking lot in Escondido California. These Brisbane Box and Tabebuia Trumpet trees were planted in January of 2016, replacing ornamental plum trees that had died due to compacted soils, limited nutrients, and overheating.

Despite being planted in the exact same position and conditions as the replaced ornamental plum trees, the new trees with the support of NEPS, are now flourishing and growing strong just one year later.

Former Executive Officer of the San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board and caretaker of the property, Mr. John Robertus monitors the trees on a weekly basis and said, “The trees look amazing! In a location where trees have failed in the past, these trees are growing aggressively year-round without fertilizer, pesticides or changing the water regiment. I see a lot of robust new growth in concert with improved health, the difference is really night and day.”
